In 2017 retail cryptocurrency investing exploded overnight, but the tooling did not. Early adopters held assets across multiple exchanges and wallets with no single source of truth: valuations lived in spreadsheets, prices were checked exchange by exchange, and most existing trackers were cluttered desktop relics that ignored mobile entirely. Our client wanted a focused iOS app that could answer one question instantly — "what do I own and what is it worth right now" — without sacrificing depth for power users tracking dozens of coins.
We designed and built a mobile experience organised around a single glanceable number: total portfolio value, live-priced via exchange APIs. Beneath it, per-coin cards exposed holdings, cost basis and 24-hour movement, while a market tab provided watchlists and sortable rankings. Visual language was deliberately calm — dark surfaces, restrained accent colour reserved for significant movement — so volatility stayed readable rather than alarming. We delivered pixel-perfect screens, an icon set, empty/error states, and complete App Store and Play Store presentation kits.
